The Examination Department of a Government Polytechnic Purnea is a core administrative unit responsible for managing all aspects of student evaluation, assessments, and certification. It ensures that exams are conducted fairly, securely, and in accordance with rules set by authorities such as the State Board of Technical Education Bihar.

1. Organizational Structure
• Controller of Examination (COE)
Head of the department; oversees all exam-related activities.

A. Exam Planning & Scheduling
Preparation of academic calendar as per SBTE.
Publishing exam timetables (theory & practical).
Coordination with departments for internal assessments.
B. Conduct of Examinations

Assigning invigilators and supervisors
Ensuring discipline and preventing malpractice

Eligibility
A student must be registered / enrolled in SBTE, Bihar.
A student has maintained good conduct.
A student has attended at least 75% of lectures, tutorials and has completed practical / Term Work classes (as may be applicable) for each subject satisfactorily.
A student will be responsible to fill up the online examination form as per schedule declared by the Board, after reconciliation of online examination fees.
An eligible candidate shall fill the examination form separately for each semester he / she wishes to appear in with separate Board fee wherever applicable as per rule.
Online examination forms filled by the student after online payment of examination fee.
Admit card shall be generated only after verification of candidature ship by the Institute.
